		YORK FALCONRY & Raptorlodge

	We are based just outside the ancient City of York at Askham Bryan Agricultural College. ideally located and easy to reach just off of the A64. We started breeding Birds of Prey to satisfy our own needs, but soon had more chicks than we could ever keep ourselves ( no matter how hard we tried). It was at this point we decided to test the waters and see if we could sell our chicks, and so York Falconry was born and the rest as they say is history. We work with local vets helping to rehabilitate and ultimately release injured wild birds of prey back into the wild as well as flying and hunting with our own birds. We are not a large commercial breeder by any means, but what we may lack in size we feel we more than make up for in our friendly personal approach, helpful manner and quality birds. If you require help to fit anklets and jesses or bells and tail mounts to your newly acquired bird we are more than happy to help, the only thing we ask is that you have bought the bird from us. The last thing we want is for you to try to do it on your own and your irate partner to ring us up and ask us to come and get that ‘bloody bird’ off of their curtains or pet dog... don’t laugh it could be you! Don’t forget if you buy a bird from us and need advice about or help with any part of its training we are only a phone call away. Presently the birds we breed are - Harris Hawks Saker Falcons Lanner Falcons But watch this space we are looking into other breeds.
